The idea of Practice.Place is that awareness work can be done anywhere.  It can start in an office or conference room and go on from there. Throughout the year we invite you to practice.place for special one-day and overnight retreats designed to restore your spirit and give you tools for ongoing restoration and stress management.  Just fill out the contact information below or send us an email or give us a call and we will save a spot for you at an upcoming retreat.

If you would like to find out more about our work, please contact Charles Higgins at 4 1 5 - 3 5 9 - 7 6 5 4 or email him: charles at practice.place or use the form below to connect with us.

Living busy lives, stress is a constant challenge. Managing stress takes effort, but like any discipline it can be learned and practiced. We all need space to relax, rejuvenate and restore ourselves. We have trouble sleeping; we struggle in relationships; we feel pain; we don't like our jobs. Sometimes, all it takes is a day in the right place with the right practice to restore ourselves to better sleep, less reactivity in relationships, more joy in the face of pain and less fear, anger and sadness that blocks us in our work.

Using the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction framework and various organization development methods, we can help set the stage for successful strategic planning and professional development that are critical in the foundation of successful teams and organizations.

Join us for a day at a unique gathering space in Stinson Beach. We can spend time indoors and outside doing some easy yoga, breathing and awareness-building exercises. We can explore nature and human nature through a blend of activities and discussions that are designed to turn stress inside-out. The goal is for you to go home with new tools to live a happier and more productive life.

The day is designed to introduce you to an awareness of stress and how to manage it. Being in and around nature is an effective way to open up to the present moment and carry forward presence that allows you to be at ease in any situation.

The Creekside House, where we will gather, is 250 yards from the beach and close to hiking trails, so time outdoors in the fresh, coastal air will envelop your time there.
